The goal of the Student Health Center is to keep you healthy so you can accomplish your educational objectives and enjoy campus life. All traditional and non-traditional students currently enrolled at Stritch are eligible to use the Student Health Center.

Confidentiality
All medical records and client visits are confidential. No one may be allowed access to patient records without written permission of the individual. Confidentiality is broken only in cases where a client is likely to harm himself/herself, someone else, or jeopardize the welfare of the University.

Location
The Student Health Center is located on the first floor of Clare Residence Hall, room 147.

Hours
During the fall and spring semesters, the Student Health Center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The center is not open in the summer. Appointments may be scheduled by calling (414) 410-4097.

Staffing
A full-time registered nurse and a part-time nurse practitioner staff the Student Health Center. Services include assessment and treatment of illness and injury, immunization administration, and limited laboratory services.

Costs
Visit to the Student Health Center are covered for those enrolled in the student health insurance program. Those who are not enrolled in the Stritch student health insurance may incur fees, dependent on the service provided.
Fees must be paid at the time of service by cash or check.

Health Insurance
Full-time undergraduate students in traditional programs, all international students and all ADN students participating in clinical experience are automatically enrolled in the student health insurance plan under the Basic $15,000 Plan. Students who wish to purchase additional coverage may do so on an optional basis. Those wishing to do so should contact the Student Health Center for further information.
International students are strongly advised to enroll in the Major Medical Plan coverage at $50,000, based on a recommendation by the American College Health Association and the National Association of Foreign Student Advisers.

All full-time students should print and complete this form and return it to Stritch.

Emergencies
Residence Life staff and Campus Security officers will assist in emergency situations for residents when the Student Health Center is closed.
For any life–threatening situation, call 911; then, if possible, contact Security at (414) 410-4220.

Education Outreach
The Student Health Center is available as a resource for health education programs for classes, student groups and campus clubs, and organizations on health-related topics such as nutrition, exercise, eating disorders, wellness, stress, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections.
Students are invited to use the Health Center as an informational resource for completing classroom assignments regarding health related topics.

TB Skin Testing Clinics
TB testing is available on a scheduled basis. Those needing this service should call the center at (414) 410-4097 to inquire about testing dates.

Other Resources
Urgent and emergency first aid is provided on a priority basis during open hours in the health center. Students needing emergency treatment after hours and on weekends should call 911, if appropriate, or the 24-hour, toll-free NurseLine at (877) 203-7730.
