Lauren Svacina

Currently teaching cross-categorical special education in Milwaukee

Lauren teaches cross-categorical special education at Hamilton High School in Milwaukee, a position she earned through the Milwaukee Teaching Fellows program, which is an alternative teaching certification program that places individuals in Milwaukee's highest need schools. She recently began work on her M.A. in Urban Education here at Stritch.

Lauren says, “Stritch prepared me for my current job by instilling in me a sense of social justice and by providing me with the tools to work towards achieving it.”
