Casey found the friendships and connections he built through internships and extracurricular activities at Stritch to be just as rewarding as the time he spent in the classroom. When he was a peer educator, he discovered meeting and event planning as a potential area of career emphasis.

That’s exactly the kind of work he does now for American Express. His main client is MillerCoors, and his job involves contracting client needs, managing meeting/event registration Web sites, and producing and auditing final budgets.

“Stritch gave a lot to me as a student,” Casey says. “In everything I did, a faculty or staff member reached out and said to me, ‘You should try it.’ It’s opened a lot of doors for me.”
