You need textbooks for class. But at Stritch you’ll never learn only from a textbook.
Group discussions with your classmates give you new perspectives, and hearing each other’s opinions makes class much more interesting. Classes aren’t based solely on lectures, either. You’ll be involved in real-world learning experiences for real companies, applying what you learned in your textbooks.

Some examples:
Develop a marketing plan for Milwaukee County 4-H.
Organize a golf outing fundraiser for the Wisconsin Association of Blind Athletes.
Create a mission statement, organizational chart and survey tools for the National Catholic Colleges and Universities Athletic Association.
Create full advertising and public relations campaigns for local non-profits, such as Independence First, the Benedict Center, and the Milwaukee Achievers.

Internships
Faculty and staff at Stritch will be your greatest connection to opportunities outside the classroom. Because they stay connected to organizations in the Milwaukee area, you’ll be able to work with them to get an internship or even a job after graduation. The Office of Vocation Development will assist you in obtaining an internship if you have a desire to work in a faith-based agency, church, or organization.

In addition, Career Services serves as a resource for all Stritch students. The staff is available to help you choose or change your major, write graduate school applications, practice interviewing techniques, and develop effective job and internship search strategies.
