Pre-Medicine Programs

Overview

Stritch offers pre-professional certificate programs in the follow areas:

Pre-Chiropractic
Pre-Dentistry
Pre-Med
Pre-Optometry
Pre-Pharmacy
Pre-Vet

Cardinal Stritch University’s pre-professional certificate programs will allow you to apply to graduate school after three years. In these programs you’ll learn how to investigate independently and gain a broader world view. You’ll gain knowledge of fundamental principles as well as their application to everyday life. This training will prepare you to get into most medical, veterinary, and professional schools around the United States. You still must take and score high enough on the entrance exams to meet the requirements of your school of choice, and you also will need to maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 in your science courses.

Many students acquire skills from these programs and use them as a stepping stone for chiropractic, pharmacy, dentistry, medical, optometry, or veterinary school. When you complete the program, you will have satisfied the requirements of both a biology and a chemistry minor. If you change your mind about graduate school or are not admitted, you’ll have the basic courses necessary to quickly complete either of these majors.
