International Admissions
In order to be academically admitted to the University, the student must provide basic information about themselves, their language abilities and their prior education.
The Admissions Office will act on an international student’s file when all of the documents below have been submitted. A formal letter will be sent to the student stating the decision of the University.
There are three steps in order to be academically admitted.
Step 1: Application Form and Fee
Submit the appropriate University application form. The undergraduate application deadline for fall enrollment
is April 1 and for spring enrollment is Dec. 1. There is an application processing fee for all international
students. This must be received before an application will be processed. Applicants utilizing a Stritch online
application will need to send a check or money order.
Step 2: English Ability (For non-native English speakers only)
Non-native English speakers must submit scores of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
Worldwide testing sites can be identified at http://www.toefl.com/.
The University requires a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (written), 213 (computerized), or 79 (Internet-based).
TOEFL test scores should be sent directly from TOEFL to the University. Please inform the TOEFL testing center
that the Cardinal Stritch University TOEFL institutional code is 1100.
Applicants that have successfully completed one academic year of full-time studies in the U.S. are not required to take the TOEFL. Applicants currently residing in the U.S., who possess an excellent command of spoken and written English, may apply for a TOEFL waiver.
Students who are not able to access the TOEFL may be allowed to submit scores from another testing mechanism (ACT, SAT, GMAT, ASSET). This will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Japanese students may submit STEP as an alternative to the TOEFL. A STEP 1st Grade Level exam score is the minimum for academic admission. To contact STEP, please visit their Web site here.
Step 3: Evaluation of Academic Credentials
All Stritch applicants must submit their educational credentials to the appropriate undergraduate,
graduate or College of Business and Management admissions office.
For Applicants Submitting Credentials from another U.S. Educational Institution:
Applicants who have been attending a U.S. educational institution should make arrangements for official U.S. school transcripts to be sent directly to the appropriate Cardinal Stritch University admissions office.

Types of Credential Evaluation
There are two types of credential evaluation services: general and course-by-course.
General Credential Evaluation:
Undergraduate applicants who have a secondary or high school education with no college level
work should request a general evaluation. This evaluation will provide the following information
to the student and University:
- Each educational credential and its U.S. equivalent
- Grade average
Course-by-Course Credential Evaluation:
Students with university level work outside of the U.S. should request a course-by-course evaluation. Although more costly, this evaluation may result in the ability to transfer prior academic credit into a Stritch undergraduate academic program. The course-by-course evaluation will provide the following information to the student and University: - Each educational credential and its U.S. equivalent - Each postsecondary course - U.S. equivalent credit and grade for each postsecondary course - Grade average - Many international students benefit significantly from this evaluation as it may allow them to transfer in academic credit that can be applied to their University degree.
Undergraduate Students From the United Kingdom Only If a student has completed their GCSE’s and are currently completing their "A" levels or Btechs, they should complete a general evaluation on their GCSE’s only. Cardinal Stritch University will use this evaluation to determine their high school equivalency and subsequent acceptance to the University. Once the results of their "A" levels or Btechs, the student will then want to complete a course-by-course evaluation in order to receive credit from Stritch for their prior work.
Evaluation Report Mailing Instructions:
