So, you’ve been accepted to Stritch…now what?
Here’s a list of things to stay on top of to ensure a smooth transition to becoming a student:
1. Submit your tuition deposit: Reserve your spot in the freshman class by submitting the $100 tuition deposit.
2. Submit your housing contract and deposit: If you plan to live in Clare Hall, submit your housing contract and $50 deposit early and have a better chance to get the type of room you want. Print a housing contract here (http://www.stritch.edu/uploadedFiles/Admissions/Undergraduate_Admissions/RoomandBoardContact.pdf).
3. Take the ASSET test: All students must take the ASSET test, which is the University’s placement test, before registering for classes. Sign up by calling your admission counselor.
4. File financial aid paperwork: After Jan. 1 of your senior year in high school, you can complete the FAFSA (http://www.fafsa.ed.gov), which is the federal form that’s required if you plan to receive financial aid. Complete and submit any other documents as requested by the Financial Aid Office.
5. Submit your health history form: All full-time students are required to submit a confidential health history form (http://www.stritch.edu/uploadedFiles/Admissions/Undergraduate_Admissions/2006HEALTHFORM_workingform.pdf) before the first day of classes.
6. Attend a Summer Registration Day: The summer after your senior year, you will be invited to attend a Summer Registration Day. Summer Registration Days allow new freshmen to get on campus to register for classes and learn more about Stritch. You’ll have the opportunity to get a student ID, take a campus tour and meet faculty and students from your major. This is a requirement for all new freshmen. Register online for a Summer Registration Day by clicking here.
