2010-11 Freshmen Scholarships

Honors Scholarship – Full Tuition
This is a four-year, full tuition scholarship awarded to up to four incoming freshmen. To be eligible, students must have a 3.5 cumulative GPA (4.0 scale) and a minimum ACT score of 26 or SAT of 1180. Eligible students who have been admitted to the University will compete for the Honors Scholarship by attending a competition held on Jan. 16, 2010.

Franciscan Heritage Scholarship – $28,000 to $48,000
These are four-year scholarships based on academic performance in high school. Eligibility is determined by a score based on a student’s GPA and ACT or SAT score. Students qualifying for one of the following scholarship levels are awarded upon acceptance to the University.

  • Trustee’s Scholarship: $48,000 (Four-year, $12,000 per year scholarship)
  • President’s Scholarship: $42,000 (Four-year, $10,500 per year scholarship)
  • Dean’s Scholarship: $28,000 (Four-year, $7,000 per year scholarship)

Departmental Scholarship – $4,000 to $42,000
This is a four-year scholarship ranging from $1,000 to $10,500 per year awarded in each of Stritch’s majors. To be eligible, students must meet both the academic department’s requirements and the University’s admission requirements. Eligible students can apply for the departmental scholarship by completing a Departmental Scholarship application and attending the Departmental Scholarship Competition on Feb. 12 (for all non-nursing students) or Feb. 13, 2010 (for nursing students).

Lilly Religious Scholars Vocation Program (RSVP) Scholarship – $17,250/year, renewable
This scholarship rewards incoming freshmen who have demonstrated exceptional Christian leadership in a church, parish or religiously affiliated organization through active participation in youth activities and service. The scholarship amount is $17,250 for the first year, and will be renewed annually at a similar amount. Eligible students must complete the Lilly RSVP Scholarship application, interview with the Office of Vocation Development, and must also major or minor in Religious Studies. School of Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship – $4,000 to $42,000
This is a four-year scholarship ranging from $1,000 to $10,500 per year, awarded to students majoring in the fine arts. To be eligible, students must meet both the department’s requirements and the University’s admission requirements. Eligible students can apply for the School of Visual and Performing Arts scholarship by completing a Departmental Scholarship application and arranging an audition with faculty.

Timothy M. Dolan Scholarship – $7,000
This is a four-year, $1,750 per year scholarship awarded to incoming freshmen who are graduating from an Archdiocese of Milwaukee High School.

Legacy Scholarship – $6,000
This is a four-year, $1,500 per year scholarship awarded to incoming freshmen who have an immediate family member who graduated from or currently attends Cardinal Stritch University.

Music Performance Scholarship – $1,000
This is a $1,000 per year scholarship awarded to incoming freshmen non-music majors who demonstrate an ability in music. Eligibility is determined by an audition with the Music Department Chair.

Flahive Athletic Scholarship – AMOUNT VARIES
This scholarship is awarded to select incoming freshmen competing in one of the University’s 10 intercollegiate sports. Eligibility and scholarship amount is determined by the respective coach.

Please note that all scholarships have specific requirements in order to renew them from year to year. Scholarship amounts are subject to change and should only be considered official when granted to the student by the University.
